We recently donated materials to the Edinburgh Tool Library, whose volunteers are rebuilding the Castleview Primary School pirate ship. The original was sadly burned down by vandals at the end of last year.
The rebuild is part of the Volunteer Assembly Programme, a scheme that provides an opportunity for other organisations, community groups, neighbourhoods and charities to present a two minute pitch to the Edinburgh Tool Library volunteers about an idea that will benefit them or the people they support.
After the successful pitch has been chosen, the Edinburgh Tool Library will use their tools, volunteers and workshop, as well as a £250 budget, to transform a space for another group.
We’re keeping an eye on the rebuild and will share the progress on our social media and website. A fantastic community project that we’re proud to support!
