Employability training

As part of Move On, we offer structured employability training courses for people in Edinburgh who are interested in gaining qualifications and skills in a wood workshop.

Employability Fund

Employability Fund is a four week course for people who are aged 18+ and not currently in education, training or employment.

The course supports participants to gain an underpinning knowledge of carpentry skills and woodworking.

Building Brighter Futures

Building Brighter Futures is an eight week employability course in Edinburgh for young people aged 16-21 years old and interested in gaining skills and qualifications in a wood workshop.

The course is suitable for participants at stages 1 and 2 of the Strategic Skills Pipeline.

Move On Employability Pathway

The Move On Employability Pathway (MOEP) programme is an eight week employability course in Edinburgh for;

  • Young people aged 18-19, who have left full-time education (or are expected to within the next 6 months) without qualifications or positive destinations.
  • Young people aged up to 26 facing barriers to accessing employability opportunities.

The course offers participants employability focussed skill support, workshops and practical work experience.
